The Niagara Area Foundation is Now Accepting Grant Applications

Lewiston, NY -- The Niagara Area Foundation, a division of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, is accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations for the 2014 grant cycle. Applications are due October 15, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. and are available for submission at

Niagara Area Foundation awards are provided to support the health, human services, arts, civic, community development, education, and environmental needs of the County. This year’s grant cycle will prioritize applications that have the greatest impact on positive youth development and demonstrate collaboration with other organizations.

Approximately $50,000 is available for the 2014 grant cycle, with maximum grant awards of $10,000. The Niagara Area Foundation awards are built by gifts and bequests from numerous individuals and groups. Most recently, the Niagara Area Foundation provided grants to the Dale Association, Isaiah 61 Project, People and Possibilities and the YWCA of the Tonawandas.

The Niagara Area Foundation was established as a division of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo in the year 2000 by a group of Niagara County individuals who work to provide support and charity-oriented philanthropic initiatives for residents in Niagara County.
