The Daily News - October 7, 2014:

VARYSBURG — The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo will host the 2014 Wyoming County Healthcare Forum from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Byrncliff Resort and Conference Center, 2357 Humphrey Rd.

This year’s Forum will convene residents, community leaders and healthcare professionals to learn more about the health needs of the county. Through presentations, roundtable discussions and facilitated dialogue, the Forum will also report on the latest results from the 2012 Wyoming County Health Needs Assessment and provide updates on actions taken to address critical health issues.

The Forum is made possible by the generosity and foresight of longtime Wyoming County philanthropist, William F. Thiel.

Thiel left a significant legacy to the county through the creation of the William F. Thiel Fund to benefit the health needs of Wyoming county residents. Since 2008, three Wyoming County Healthcare Forums have been held in honor of Thiel’s request.

It is estimated that more than 10,800 Wyoming County residents (1 in 4) have benefited from Thiel’s generosity since the Health Needs Assessment.

The 2014 Wyoming County Healthcare Forum is free to the public.
