Niagara Area Foundation Announces 2016 Officers

Lockport, NY – The Niagara Area Foundation today announced its council members and officers elected for the 2016 term.

The 2016 Niagara Area Foundation Council Officers are: Michael A. Piette, Esq., Chair; Patricia George, Esq., Vice Chair; Janice Nichols, Secretary; and Bruce Elliott, Treasurer.

“The Niagara Area Foundation Council is comprised of a group of dedicated volunteer leaders who are committed to improving the lives of the residents of Niagara County,” said Niagara Area Foundation Chair, Michael Piette. “Together with our partners, we are working to identify and address the critical needs in our community.”

In 2015, the Niagara Area Foundation awarded over $55,000 in grants to nine Niagara County nonprofit organizations that support positive youth development. To date, more than $1 million has been awarded through the Niagara Area Foundation to nonprofits that support a mission to connect people, ideas and resources to improve lives in Niagara County.

Other members of the Niagara Area Foundation Council include: Michael Gold, Melissa Morinello, Mary Ann Oliver, Esq., and Charles Wright.

The Niagara Area Foundation is a geographic division of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo.
