Community Foundation Hires new Director of Client Relations; Promotes Masiello to Senior Director
The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo is pleased to announce a new hire and a promotion that will enhance services provided to clients to ensure their charitable goals become reality.Andrew Gaerte
has joined the Community Foundation team as Director, Client Relations
. In this role, Andrew’s responsibility is to ensure the Community Foundation’s commitment to its clients and their philanthropic and charitable goals. Andrew comes to this position from Houghton College where he was Regional Director of Development for the last three years. He also brings experience in major gift fundraising, planned giving and client services. As Director, Client Relations, Andrew will work closely with Community Foundation clients, providing excellent service throughout the philanthropic process.
The Community Foundation has promoted Kate Masiello to Senior Director, Client Relations
. For the last nine years, Kate has cultivated strong and lasting relationships with Community Foundation clients and has worked tirelessly to ensure that every client’s giving is customized and driven by his or her needs. Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Kate worked as Director of Government Affairs at the Greater Buffalo Partnership (today, the Buffalo Niagara Partnership), and served as Deputy Director of Communications and as a Budget Analyst for the New York State Finance Committee. In addition to this work, Kate served as First Lady of the City of Buffalo from 1994 to 2005.
The Community Foundation is a public charity dedicated to helping clients make the most of their generosity. Clients can establish charitable funds that are customized to support organizations, issues and communities at their direction. The Community Foundation is currently home to more than 800 named funds totaling nearly $400 million in assets.
