Clotilde Dedecker and Andrea Mitchell on Panel

In April, our President/CEO Clotilde Perez-Bode Dedecker was asked to speak on a panel at Recommit to Kids | The Summit for America’s Promise, which convened business, philanthropy, nonprofit, government, education and faith leaders in New York City to commit to improving the lives of children and youth. The Summit was chaired by General and Mrs. Colin Powell and President Bill Clinton served as the keynote speaker.

Clotilde’s panel focused on how to support communities coming together to make change for kids and she was be joined by Andrea Mitchell, NBC; Greg Fischer, Mayor of Louisville, KY; and Nikole Hannah-Jones, Journalist. While on the panel, Clotilde spoke to the unique role philanthropy can play in bringing leaders together to create positive change in our communities and elevated Buffalo as a model for best practice in addressing persistent community challenges.

Say Yes Buffalo and the Greater Buffalo Racial Equity Roundtable are two examples of this work in action.
