Success Looks Like Me® Launch Event Featuring Tony Award Winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson

“If my mind can conceive it and my heart can believe it, I can achieve it…So I’m here to tell you what you can do.” - Ruben Santiago-Hudson.

In May 2012, the Lackawanna native and Tony award winning actor and playwright, delivered these words to a large group of public school students in Buffalo.

Mr. Santiago-Hudson provided his support, presence, and talent to benefit the Communities of Giving Legacy Initiative (CGLI) for the launch of their new and innovative Success Looks Like Me® Role Model Project.

Mr. Santiago-Hudson made a live appearance at the Buffalo Academy of Visual and Performing Arts (BAVPA) for an in-depth interview and question and answer session with Buffalo Public School students. Although BAVPA hosted the event, other public schools were able to participate through live video streaming and a live Twitter feed with question and answer capabilities.

An Evening with Ruben Santiago-Hudson

After the presentation to students, a fundraiser event was held that evening to help benefit Success Looks Like Me®. The evening festivities featured a VIP Reception and Presentation Program with Mr. Santiago-Hudson.

This Presentation Program consisted of an in-depth “Inside the Actors Studio” style interview, by local news personality Claudine Ewing, with our guest of honor, providing the audience with details on his journey to success.
