Lead Poisoning Prevention Coalition Community Calendar

Event: Submit letters of support for schools to obtain access to student blood lead levels in NYSIIS

Event Details: The NYS law governing the New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS does not currently give schools outside of New York City access to Blood Lead Levels (BLLs). Assembly bill A03899 and Senate bill S03941 have been introduced by Assemblyman Joe Morelle and Senator Kemp Hannon to give all schools in New York State access to this information, which is necessary to help schools identify children with a history of lead poisoning and carefully monitor their educational progress as recommended by the CDC. https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2017/S3941
