Say Yes Buffalo

Increasing high school graduation rates, as well as postsecondary enrollment and completion rates, is imperative if we are to break the cycle of poverty and produce a workforce that is prepared for success and to reach their full potential in today's job market. That is why the Community Foundation convened an unprecedented partnership with public, private and nonprofit sectors to make education a priority to create long-term economic growth in our community. We are proud to be a partner, supporter and advocate of Say Yes Buffalo.

Say Yes Buffalo was launched in 2011 as an education-based initiative that provides a powerful engine for long-term economic development and radically improves the life course of an entire generation of public school students in the City of Buffalo.

Say Yes Buffalo Circle of Supports
Catalyzed by a universal scholarship program, Say Yes Buffalo will increase educational attainment by students in the Buffalo Public Schools by providing up to 100% of their tuition at any participating public or private postsecondary institution. However, financial aid for college is just one component of the effort, which seeks to remove all barriers to educational success. To address the academic, health and behavioral challenges our students face, Say Yes Buffalo and its partners put people and programs run by respected community-based organizations directly into Buffalo Public School buildings.
