Amy Lachuk is the Grants Writer/Administrator at the Community Foundation. In this role, she is responsible for driving the Community Foundation’s grant management system, to ensure that appropriate grants are being sought to advance our leadership initiatives, and working collaboratively to develop and maintain grant agreements. She also works with the Community Impact team to develop strategies for the evaluation of outcomes and community impact.
Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Amy worked as a Grants Specialist for Catholic Charities in Madison, Wisconsin, where she developed and maintained an internal grants management system that enabled the ability to track and analyze funding patterns and grant reporting requirements. She was also a writing consultant and founder of Ayudame Consulting in Madison, where she conducted a full range of activities related to grant writing and submission. Previously, she was an Associate Professor at Hunter College, where she worked to secure grants, prepared and published journal articles and grant reports, and performed qualitative and quantitative data analysis to communicate grant activities to funders.
Amy received her Ph.D. in Literacy Studies, her M.S. in Multicultural Education and her B.A. in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is multi-lingual and an active literacy volunteer.
