Landrum W. Beard
Landrum Beard is the Director of the Communities of Giving Legacy Initiative (CGLI) at the Community Foundation. In this role, he is responsible for carrying out the mission of CGLI to cultivate positive change in the lives of youth of color in Western New York. In leading this initiative, Landrum works to promote endowment building as a means to improve life outcomes for communities of color. He is responsible for program development and fundraising and works to build awareness of the initiative throughout the region.
Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Landrum worked as a Leadership Executive at the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County where he managed a portfolio of business donors. Previously, he served as the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at the State University of New York College at Buffalo.
Landrum received his B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo and M.S. in Executive Leadership and Change from Daemen College. He is a Connecting Leaders Fellow at ABFE, a national philanthropic and nonprofit organization that advocates for transformative investments in Black communities.
