Talisa King is the Program Associate at the Community Foundation. In this role, she coordinates administrative processes for scholarship programs, which provides more than $2 million annually in grants for post-secondary education. In addition, she assists the grantmaking team with implementation of various grants to support the Community Foundation’s goals of advancing education, racial/ethnic equity, architecture and arts and culture.
Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Talisa served as Erie County Youth Bureau Planning Coordinator for Erie County, where she supervised, evaluated and coordinated over 80 nonprofit agencies to be contracted and funded by the Erie County Youth Bureau, and assisted in developing a plan to identify the needs of youth in Erie County, including planning and implementing workshops and training sessions. Previously, Talisa held positions as Chief Officer of Operations and Program Manager for Willie Hutch Jones Educational and Sports Programs, and Youth Detention Worker for Erie County Detention.
Talisa received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from D’Youville College and her Associate’s in Community and Human Services from Empire State College. She currently serves as Anti-Bullying Task Force Youth Voice Chair and Advocacy Chair for Afterschool Network of WNY.
