Community Foundation With The City of Buffalo And Buffalo Public Schools Issues Two RFPs

After receiving a grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation, the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo issued two RFPs on Wednesday, July 11, in collaboration with the City of Buffalo and Buffalo Public Schools.

The Community Foundation, City of Buffalo and Buffalo Public Schools seek architectural and engineering services from consultants for two projects. These projects are a planning and feasibility study for a potential indoor field house in the City of Buffalo and the analysis and planning for sports and recreation facilities in 11 neighborhood parks owned by the City of Buffalo and Buffalo Public Schools.

Proposals are due by 4:00 p.m. on August 9, 2018.

RFP 1: Programming and Site Location Feasibility Study with Community Engagement for City of Buffalo Field House

The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo recently received a grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation to support a planning and feasibility study to explore a potential indoor field house within the City of Buffalo. In collaboration with the City of Buffalo and Buffalo Public Schools. This exploration complements the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo’s mission of “connecting people, ideas and resources to improve lives in Western New York” and its vision of “a vibrant and inclusive Greater Buffalo region with opportunity for all.”

In collaboration with the City of Buffalo and Buffalo Public Schools, the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo is soliciting proposals for professional services to facilitate a programming and site location feasibility study for a state-of-the-art indoor field house in the City of Buffalo.

The scope of services provided herein will include the development of criteria and programming to enable the site selection of a City of Buffalo indoor field house. This collaborative effort will allow a site to be identified that best fits the criteria and program developed.

RFP 2: Various City of Buffalo Parks and Buffalo Public Schools Facilities Survey and Design Development

The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo recently received a planning grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation to support the analysis and planning for sports and recreation facilities in 11 neighborhood parks owned by the City of Buffalo and Buffalo Public Schools. This planning complements the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo’s mission of “connecting people, ideas and resources to improve lives in Western New York” and its vision of “a vibrant and inclusive Greater Buffalo region with opportunity for all.”

The City of Buffalo and Buffalo Public Schools have identified multiple park areas where potential upgrades could increase the utility of the facilities and better serve the residents of the City. This planning analysis will look at the existing facilities and identify potential improvements to fields, spectator stands, mobile press boxes, field lighting, field drainage and watering, landscaping, walkways, parking, low level landscape lighting, artificial or natural turf fields, green infrastructure and public amenities.

In collaboration with the City of Buffalo and Buffalo Public Schools, the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo is soliciting proposals for a consultant to perform professional architectural and engineering surveys and design development services to facilitate the work at the 11 neighborhood parks.
