Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo Announces Finance Team Promotion, Five New Team Members

Buffalo, N.Y.The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo is pleased to announce that

Colleen Becht has been promoted to Vice President, Finance. In this role, she is responsible for all internal and external financial reporting. She also oversees financial management, planning and budgeting, internal controls and activity in the investment portfolio. Colleen joined the Community Foundation in 2011 and has made a tremendous impact over the years by ensuring the Foundation is always adhering to current accounting standards and streamlining financial processes.

Additionally, five new team members have joined the Community Foundation team with each one playing an important role in carrying out our clients’ charitable legacies.

 Jillian Greiner, Controller. Jillian is responsible for the day-to-day accounting and financial functions of the Community Foundation, as well as overseeing internal and external financial reporting, management of the financial database and the reconciliation of investments.

 

Lillian Kahris, Knowledge Management Officer. Lillian works to evaluate, analyze and track progress toward achieving the Foundation’s mission of connecting people, ideas and resources to improve lives in Western New York. She will lead knowledge sharing and evaluate initiatives and grantmaking by measuring impacts.

 

Kristina Martin, Executive Assistant, Racial Equity Initiatives. Kristina is responsible for supporting and advancing the Community Foundation’s commitment to racial/ethnic equity, and assisting with the work of the Greater Buffalo Racial Equity Roundtable.

 

 Nicole Martin-Taylor, Senior Accountant. Nicole plays a key role in managing complex accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the organization’s strategic goals. She joins the Community Foundation with decades of accounting experience supporting both for-profit and non-profits in Western New
York.

 

Darius Stephens, Digital Communications Coordinator. Darius supports communications efforts including photography, social media and video projects to raise awareness about the Foundation and its mission of connecting people, ideas and resources to improve lives in Western New York.

 

 

Since 1919, the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo has been committed to helping individuals, families and organizations make their charitable goals a reality.
