Dr. James MacCallum Community Leadership Award

The Wyoming Foundation’s Dr. James MacCallum Community Leadership Award is an annual award that recognizes a person aged between 21 and above in Wyoming County who exemplifies a commitment to creating positive change in their community through community service, civic engagement or volunteerism outside of their professional position.

The ideal candidate(s) exhibits / exemplify any or all of the following criteria:

    1. Gives time and talent into making Wyoming County a better place to work and raise a family through dedication, investment, building community, and forward thinking.
    2. Inspires others to work collaboratively.
    3. Demonstrates a commitment to responding to emerging and changing community needs.
    4. Inspires philanthropy within Wyoming County.
    5. Impact specific to Wyoming County, however does not need to be a resident of the county.

The Award:

The Dr. James MacCallum Community Leadership awardee will receive a specially designed free-standing piece. A grant of $1,000 will be made to a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization chosen by the awardee as well. Awards will be presented in person at the 50th Anniversary Celebration on July 23, 2026. To be selected, nominees must be able to attend the event.

Wyoming Foundation Youth Leadership Award

In celebration of the Wyoming Foundation’s 50th anniversary, the Wyoming Foundation’s Youth Leadership Award recognizes a remarkable youth between the ages of 13 and 20 from Wyoming County who exemplifies leadership qualities and a commitment to creating positive changes through community service, civic engagement, or volunteerism.

The ideal candidate(s) will meet the following criteria:

    1. Gives time and talent to help create positive change in their community and improve the quality of life in Wyoming County.
    2. Inspires others to work collaboratively
    3. Exemplifies initiative and leadership qualities through their engagement with the community in Wyoming County

The Award:

The Youth Leadership awardee will receive a specially designed free-standing piece. A grant of $1,000 will be made to a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization chosen by the awardee as well. Awards will be presented in person at the 50th Anniversary Celebration on July 23, 2026. To be selected, nominees must be able to attend the event.

Wyoming Foundation Nonprofit Award

In celebration of Wyoming Foundation’s 50th Anniversary, the Wyoming Foundation’s Nonprofit Award recognizes a designated 501(c)(3) charitable organization that has made measurable change in moving their cause forward and helping transform Wyoming County, which has led to a stronger, more successful community. This organization dedicates countless time and harnesses their passion to address important issues facing the County. Through unifying different voices, this organization helps to create solutions that continue to build and strengthen Wyoming County.

The ideal organization(s) exhibits / exemplify any or all of the following:

    1. Impact- Demonstrates long term impact that will have a lasting legacy in Wyoming County
    2. Leadership- Demonstrates excellence, creativity, collaboration, empowerment, initiative, and aspiration of others
    3. Solutions Focused- Demonstrates a commitment to addressing and providing solutions for important issues facing Wyoming County

The Award:

The Nonprofit awardee will receive a specially designed free-standing piece. A grant of $1,000 will be made to the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization as well. Awards will be presented in person at the 50th Anniversary Celebration on July 23, 2026. To be selected, nominees must be able to attend the event.
