Matthew Torres
Matthew plays a key role in supporting initiatives of the Community Foundation’s geographic affiliates serving Niagara and Wyoming Counties. He is part of the inaugural cohort of the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation’s Rural Philanthropy Fellows Program designed to strengthen leadership capacity within rural-serving community foundations. In this role, Matthew conducts outreach to a variety of community groups to increase awareness and community engagement.
Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Matthew served as the Youth Hockey Coordinator at the Buffalo Sabres, where he managed and operated the Buffalo Sabres Learn to Play Program, lead events, and worked closely with the Sabres Foundation and the Sabres Alumni Foundation. Previously, he was an Urban Agriculture Assistant at Isles, Inc. where he supported their efforts to contain environmental hazards and create safe, thriving spaces.
Matthew received his B.S. in Sport Management from West Virginia University.
