Marlon Kerner

Marlon Kerner is the Director of Client Relations and Communities of Giving Legacy Initiative (CGLI) at the Community Foundation. In this role, Marlon is dedicated to working with clients, understanding their philanthropic intentions and assisting them with their charitable giving. He also oversees the work of the CGLI, an initiative that works to cultivate positive change in the lives of trailblazing youth of color.

Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Marlon worked as a Community Director with Entrepreneurs Forever, where he recruited qualified prospective small business owners into peer groups and collaborated with local community entrepreneurial support organizations to create and execute an outreach system for prospective members. Previously, he worked for the Buffalo Bills, most recently as a Director of Player Engagement and Alumni, and Co-Chair of the DEI Council. Prior, he worked for Target Corporation in the areas of human resources and guest experience. Marlon is a former NFL athlete who was drafted in the third round by the Buffalo Bills in 1995.

Marlon received his B.S. in Consumer Affairs from The Ohio State University and his Master’s in Strategic Leadership from St. Bonaventure University.
