Grantee Spotlight: Visually Impaired Advancement (VIA)

Creating pathways for the visually impaired is at the core of Visually Impaired Advancement (VIA), a nonprofit working to help people through vision loss and provide the skills that restore their independence and confidence.

The Niagara Area Foundation is supporting VIA’s life-changing work with a 2024 grant.

“The Niagara Area Foundation has ensured that VIA can serve the blind and visually impaired children of Niagara County by providing them with one-on-one support and services to allow them to learn and thrive along with their sighted peers,” said Kelsey Cimiano, Vice President of Development, VIA. “The Niagara Area Foundation has helped ensure that blind and visually impaired children in Niagara County receive the support and services they need to learn and thrive alongside their sighted peers.“
