We have all been affected by the horrific tragedy that occurred Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Tops Friendly Market on Jefferson Avenue in different and very personal ways.
As we know, Western New Yorkers are resilient and compassionate, and now we must come together stronger than ever to create much-needed change. By our very nature, we have an incredibly generous community and we want to share that we have had an outpouring of requests from across the country about how to help our community move forward.
We have just announced two options you can provide financial support to:
• Buffalo 5/14 Survivors Fund: For those looking to directly support the survivors, Tops, in partnership with the National Compassion Fund, has established the Buffalo 5/14 Survivors Fund to provide financial assistance to the survivors of the deceased and those directly affected by this tragedy.
• Buffalo Together Community Response Fund: The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, in partnership with United Way of Buffalo & Erie County and dozens of philanthropic partners, has initiated a coordinated philanthropic response to listen and respond to the broader community needs in the coming weeks and months.
You can find information to support both funds at BuffaloTogetherFund.org
We can and will create change in the darkness of this heinous act. Buffalo is stronger together.
