Niagara Area Foundation Announces Two New Members of its Council

The Niagara Area Foundation, a geographic affiliate of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, is pleased to announce that two local leaders have joined its Council in 2025. Celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2025, the Niagara Area Foundation is committed to improving lives in Niagara County through the generosity of individuals and families who care deeply about their community. It is led by a Council of dedicated and knowledgeable local residents and works to build connections and support critical needs in Niagara County that result in transformative impact. New members include: Angelica Douglas, Human Resources Project Manager at Seneca Gaming Corporation; and Philip Haseley, retired Professor of Anthropology at SUNY Niagara.
Angelica Douglas is a Human Resources Project Manager at Seneca Gaming Corporation. Angelica also founded “Angelica’s Touch of Peace,” which provides spiritual healing and life coaching, and provides support to domestic violence survivors, assisting them in safely transitioning out of abusive situations and rebuilding their lives with stability and confidence. Angelica earned an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from DeVry Institution and a Certification in Paralegal Studies/ Legal Secretary from Cheryl Fells School of Business. She also earned a B.S. in Community and Human Services with a concentration in Criminal Justice from SUNY Empire State College.
Philip Haseley is a retired Professor of Anthropology, dedicating 35 years to shaping young minds at SUNY Niagara, having taught in both the Anthropology and Biology departments. Throughout his career, Philip was recognized for his exceptional teaching, earning both the prestigious SUNY Chancellor’s Award and the NISOD National Teaching Award. Philip graduated from SUNY Geneseo and earned his doctorate in Anthropology from SUNY Buffalo.
