Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Genesee, Orleans and Wyoming Counties Community Listening Session April 29 at 1:30 p.m.
The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council, Tri-County Arts Council, Arts Council for Wyoming County, and ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes invite leaders of arts and culture organizations in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Genesee, Orleans and Wyoming Counties to a virtual listening session on Friday, April 29 from 1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.
In December 2021, the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation announced a gift to support arts and culture in the eight counties of Western New York, plus Monroe County, in recognition of the key role creatives play in economic development. Part of that announcement includes $500,000 in annual funding to be spent primarily to support small to mid-sized arts and cultural organizations spread across the nine counties. The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo is managing and operating the endowment and grants program.
Additionally, we will discuss a Creative Economy Study to be conducted this year that will provide comprehensive information about the economic impact of the arts in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Albany and is part of a new collaboration between Rochester Area Community Foundation and the New York State Council on the Arts.
You do not need to attend this session to be eligible to apply for the upcoming grant process nor will your attendance affect your organization’s application status.
Once you have filled out the registration form below, you will receive an email with the Zoom link to join the conversation.
