Monroe County Arts Listening Session April 20 at 12 p.m.

The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo and the Rochester Area Community Foundation invite leaders of arts and culture organizations in Monroe County to a virtual listening session on Wednesday, April 20 from 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

In December 2021, the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation announced a gift to support arts and culture in nine counties of Western New York – including Monroe County – in recognition of the key role creatives play in economic development. Part of that announcement includes $500,000 in annual funding to be spent primarily to support small to mid-sized arts and cultural organizations spread across the nine counties. The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo is managing and operating the endowment and grants program.

Additionally, we will discuss a new regrant program and a Creative Economy Study to be conducted this year that will provide comprehensive information about the economic impact of the arts in Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse and Albany and are part of a new collaboration between Rochester Area Community Foundation and the New York State Council on the Arts.

You do not need to attend this session to be eligible to apply for the upcoming grant process nor will your attendance affect your organization’s application status.

Once you have filled out the registration form below, you will receive an email with the Zoom link to join the conversation.
