Daycia Clarke

Daycia Clarke is the Senior Director of Youth Sports Initiatives at the Community Foundation. In her role, she leads Project Play WNY, an initiative launched by the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation to ensure all children in Western New York have the opportunity to be active through sports and build physical literacy. Daycia also oversees the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Legacy Fund for Youth Sports, one of four endowment funds at the Community Foundation created by the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation.

Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Daycia worked as Education Program Manager for the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County – WNY Girls in Sports, where she developed and coordinated program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill programmatic and expansion objectives, and identified community barriers and develop equitable strategies to reach underserved communities. Daycia previously was Assistant Director, Medaille College – Upward Bound Programs Recruiter/Academic Counselor/Administrative Assistant and worked as an Administrative Assistant at the State University of New York at Buffalo – Office of University Preparatory Programs. 

Daycia received her Bachelor’s degree in English from Canisius College.
